Description
This is my Post-WWII repro of a Luftwaffe "crusher" cap. When I purchased it, it had some common Luftwaffe roudel and emblem on it. I will be adding some Third Reich era insignia and chinstrap chord to make it go with my Oberst(Colonel) Klink costume.
Interestingly enough, this cap was issued; to a Johannes Heinrich. It was printed on the diamond stamp inside. I'm not sure what the other information means. It says under his name: Elisabethenstr. (Enlisted?) 55 under that 10/74. Then a bunch of letters and numbers. It's a size 56. Some help on this would be great.

Well it's definitely not WWII, so you're right about that. I wouldn't call it a repro. This hat is way better than a repro. Call it "an original West German Luftwaffe" hat. Sounds better.
I'm not 100% sure if this was still practiced after WWII, but a lot of companies produced the same items. Each company had it's own number. For example, my Wound Badge is marked 32, and my mess kit is marked [letters]42. This may be the case with your numbers, but probably not. Unless 10 is the maker, and 74 means 1974?
